PALAZZO FIORDELISI COMES ALIVE IN A TWO-DAY EVENT OF TASTINGS, GASTRONOMIC EXCELLENCE, AND GOOD MUSIC
The inland areas, the so-called “internal areas,” are full of surprises — sometimes very pleasant
ones—and of encounters, often flavorful. Companatico is an ambitious format, conceived and
promoted with the desire to bring together excellence from different fields: gastronomic,
architectural, landscape, and, why not, professional. Companatico, literally, is what you eat with
bread; it’s accompaniment in a broader sense.
In early December, in the heart of the Vallo di Diano in Sala Consilina, within the expertly restored
rooms of Palazzo Fiordelisi, we were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected beauty that
sometimes arises from these encounters. Four wine excellences from the Cilento, the cuisine of
CiVà—already awarded “Best Street Food on The Road 20-21” by Gambero Rosso—Salumeria
Malinconico, a historic Neapolitan establishment active since 1890, all seasoned with the musical
selection of N-Zino, historic founder of “180gr,” project and even a wine and cheese pairing
masterclass by Maria Sarnataro (AIS Cilento e Vallo di Diano and ONAF Salerno delegate), are the
result of devouted enogastronomic research in the area, wishing to make it interact and
contaminate it. These encounters add value to the territory and are able to tell its story with the
contemporaneity it deserves.
Companatico is already looking ahead to its next step.
In the meantime, the first one was a success!
